Damon Wayans Defends His Comments About The Bill Cosby Rape Scandal

Damon Wayans has found himself under fire for remarks made regarding the Bill Cosby rape scandal. Damon has taken to Twitter to defend himself and is saying his words are being twisted after an interview he did on Friday (September 4th, 2015) with New York City radio station Power 105.1’s morning show.

The comedian claims that the following exchange was meant to be comedic and people should pay attention to his closing remarks in which he expresses remorse for anyone that has been raped by Bill Cosby and that he hopes they get justice.

So here is what was said:

Angela Yee asks “What advice would you give Bill Cosby?” to which Damon responds with:

Tell the truth, if I was him, I would divorce my wife, wink wink. Give her all my money, and then I would go to a deposition, light one of those three-hour cigars. I’d have me some wine and maybe a Quaalude, and I would just go off,” he responded.

He went on to add:

I don’t believe he was raping… He was in relationships with all of them.

He then went on to criticize some of the alleged victims harshly with

And some of them is unrapeable. I look at them and go, no, you don’t want that. Get out of here.

After being flamed tirelessly on social media shortly after the interview’s airing Damon tweeted:

Stop twisting my words. Watch the entire interview before u condemn me!
